  • Teaching Praxis

Learner styles and needs differ greatly. My aim is to meet these learner needs through adapting teaching practices that meet the individual’s learning style. In particular, neurodiverse students often require nuanced teaching. My experience working with neurodiversity includes but is not limited to the following diagnoses: Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder; Autism; Down Syndrome; Dyslexia/Dysgraphia/Dyscalculia/Dysphagia; Sensory conditions; Tourette’s.

As needed, I foster complementary skills with students, such as study/learning techniques for unique learner needs, as well as for specific situations such as tests/exams/scholarships.

I encourage students to be active participants in learning sessions (age considered), through expressing their identified areas needing support.
